How many times have you seen cars parked outside of parking bays on a busy day at the shopping mall? And how many times have you seen cars parked on top of footpaths and nature strips? It is important to understand that you just can't park wherever you think you can. Parking outside of parking bays, on top of footpath and nature strips can cause difficulty for other drivers to manoeuvre and even obstruct their path of vision.
You must always park your vehicle in the appropriate or designated locations.
You must never park your vehicle in the following ways:
Double parking - Parking alongside a vehicle that has already parked
On footpaths
On driveway entrances
On the motorway
In a clear way zone
On nature strips
On road islands
Within 20 meters of an intersecting road at an intersection with traffic lights
Within 1 meter of another vehicle parked in front or behind
Within 20 meters before and 10 meter after a bus stop
Within 20 meters before and 10 meters after pedestrian crossings
On a rail way crossing
Within 20 meters before and 20 meters after a rail way level crossing
